Birmingham Inclusive Sports Fest Launch 2015

The Birmingham Disability Sports Forum will launch the third annual Birmingham Inclusive Sports Fest at QAC on 13 June 2015

A week-long inclusive sport & physical activity campaign where clubs and organisations across the city will run taster days for people with a range of impairments to take part in.

Birmingham Carer's event on 11 June 2015

We're celebrating the amazing contribution family carers make to our communities with a brilliant FREE event - in partnership with Birmingham Town Hall & Symphony Hall - on Thurs 11 June 10am to 2pm.

It's National Carers Week 8-14 June so come and find out about all the help, support and training on offer, get face to face advice about your new rights under the Care Act, meet other carers, and take advantage of a free health MOT check.

Help at Home is a new social enterprise run by the Disability Resource Centre

 to be launched in April 2015

The new services include…

• Domestic cleaning and tidying the home

• Laundry and ironing

• Shopping and running errands

• Gardening maintenance

• Household management- including support with correspondence and paying bills

• Dog walking and pet care

• Hairdressing

• Nail care
