HELP! For Disabled People Project Team

The Disability Resource Centre (DRC) is one of the leading disability organisations operating in Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands.

Our mission is ‘to support disabled people to take control of their own lives and to actively seek out opportunities to achieve their full potential as individuals in mainstream society’.  This is at the heart of everything we do.

IT success for DRC service users

Twenty four service users of the DRC have achieved an accredited qualification in work related business administration skills. The DRC worked in partnership with two organisations ‘Open College Network West Midlands’ and ‘Right Step Careers’.

‘Right Step’ staff visited the DRC to assess and enrol service users onto the accredited training course and further provided individuals with careers advice and guidance, enabling people with disabilities to explore their skills whilst discussing with them further progression opportunities towards employment.
