For some time, there has been no collective voice for disabled people and Third Sector organisations providing support and/or services to disabled people in Birmingham. As a result, it has been difficult for disabled people and organisations to raise issues.

It has also been difficult for public sector organisations to consult widely on issues affecting the disabled community.

With this in mind we would like, on behalf of the new Birmingham Disability Network, to invite you to the Network Launch to be held at the Muath Trust on Thursday 9th July 2009 10.00am - 3.00pm. The event will enable you to gather more information about the opportunities that will be available through the network and to engage with other likeminded organisations.

The day will include the following

- Opportunity to understand the proposed work of the Birmingham Disability Network

- Opportunity to understand the work of the Regional Disability Network and how the two networks fit together.

- Opportunity to network with likeminded organisations to grow and develop partnerships.

-The opportunity to become a member of the new Birmingham Disability Network

This event is targeted at all organisations across Birmingham who provide services for Disabled People
