Barriers and Perceptions - Employment Research Project
Between May 2006 and October 2007, Birmingham Disability Resource Centre carried out an action research project which explored the barriers and perceptions experienced by disabled people in Birmingham who are seeking employment. During the research 200 disabled people and service providers took part by filling out questionnaires or attending meetings and focus groups. 25 disabled people took part in a more in-depth phase which involved regular interviews and diaries.
In October 2007 we completed a Summary Report and a Main Report which contain important research data and findings from the project. The report will be officially launched at an event at the Birmingham Disability Resource Centre on 24th January 2008, please contact our office for more details.
