Waste Management Survey - Birmingham City Council
We have received a request from the Fleet and Waste Management service at Birmingham City Council who are carrying out a survey in order to improve services for disabled people living in Birmingham. Below is a copy of the letter from Gwin Pountney of the service. If you would like to support this initiative, please email me and I will send you a copy of the questionnaire via email or post. pmillington@disability.co.uk
Dear Mr Millington
Fleet & Waste Management Consultation with Disabled Service Users
As a major provider of direct customer services for Birmingham City Council, Fleet and Waste Management is committed to using consultation as key part of service development for all service users.
In order to ensure that the department is providing a high quality service to people with disabilities in Birmingham we would like to send out a survey to service users with disabilities to obtain feedback on what they think of our services: predominantly refuse collection, recycling and street cleansing.
The aim is to improve the service provided by Fleet and Waste Management in meeting the needs of people with disabilities and identifying any gaps in the standard of service currently provided as well as an opportunity to raise any issues of concern.
As a provider of services to people with disabilities in Birmingham we are seeking the assistance of the Birmingham Disability Resource Centre with this consultation process by assisting with the distribution of the questionnaire to your service users.
I would therefore be grateful if you could contact me with regard to your assistance with the implementation and commitment to this consultation exercise and to discuss the process in detail.
Yours sincerely
Gwin Pountney
Management Support Officer
