BDRC's Information Service
The BDRC provides an accurate and up-to-date disability information service for disabled people, their support networks, organisations and individuals in Birmingham.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can:
- provide access to a wide range of resources and well established contacts with many local and national organisations on such issues as equipment, aids, access, holidays etc.
- provide assistance with benefits and support to individuals completing forms can also be provided.
- provide details on latest disability related legislation and policy
- be actively involved in disability-related campaigns and lobbying on behalf of service users.
- obtain the views of service users and disabled people generally on disability related issues.
- collate, monitor and maintain organisational and Birmingham city based intelligence on service users, disabled people and those on incapacity benefit.
Our staff are also able to provide confidential one-to-one sessions and home visits upon request
