Energy Efficiency & Debt Advice

DRC currently runs 2 energy efficiency and advice project funded by ScottishPower Foundation and Energy Redress.

The projects provides energy related information and advice to disabled people. Individuals are able to receive 1:1 advice addressing fuel debt, benefit checks, income maximisations and fuel efficiency checks. We also deliver workshops in the community to allow people to become efficient and effective energy consumers.

Utilising our new and interactive E-learning programme to provide energy advice workshops. The project also provides training to front line staff in other organisations to ensure that they are fully equipped to help some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. Delivery Sessions are held here at the Disability Resource Centre and at various community locations. Or if there is a large enough group of people we can arrange to deliver that course to them in the community or link organisations. 1:1 appointments are held across various locations within the communities. We also provide home visits and telephone appointments.
